This website is run by BluElephant. We keep things simple: we collect as little personal data as possible, and only to answer you.

What we collect, and why

• Contact form. When you use the “Join the herd” form we receive the details you type in: your name, organisation, email address, country, what you are interested in, and your message. We use them only to reply to you. They are sent to our mailbox and kept there as long as our conversation needs it, at most two years.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider, Infomaniak (Switzerland), keeps technical logs (IP address, time, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. These are kept for a limited period and not used to identify you.

What we do not do

• No analytics or tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own.
• No advertising, no selling or sharing of your data.
• The map is drawn with OpenStreetMap: map tiles are loaded from the OpenStreetMap servers, which see your IP address like any website you visit. The video on this site is embedded from YouTube in its cookie-free mode and only loads after you press play; from that moment YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Email info@bluelephant.global and we will respond within a month. You may also complain to your national data-protection authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
